“Liberation in the Palm of your Hand” (Tib. Dzogchen Sangye Lakchang)

Nam Chö Refuge Visualization
Ngondro is a collection of practices known as "The Four Foundations" (sometimes also called the Preliminary Practices). These practices form the fundamental ground for all Tibetan Buddhist practice and for higher Dzogchen practice.

The Namchö teachings are known as "Space Treasures". They were revealed in the 17th Century by the Tertön Migyur Dorje (1645-1667), who received them from Avalokiteshvara, and have been passed down from master to student through the centuries. The blessings of the Palyul lineage are pure and unbroken till nowadays.
Khen Rinpoche Pema Choephel received the Nam Chö Ngöndro teachings and practice from His Holiness Penor Rinpoche (1932-2009). During the ten days retreat offered at the German Palyul Center, Khen Rinpoche Pema Choephel will transmit, teach and practice the short Daily Practice version of the Ngöndro with the assembly of retreatants.
Outer and Inner Preliminaries

As the foundation of the teachings of
the Buddha Dharma, Namchö preliminary practice
consists of contemplation, insight,
purification, offering and devotion practices.
The outer preliminaries aim to turn the mind towards the Dharma practice through contemplating the preciousness of human birth, impermanence, suffering, how law of cause and effect ("karma") work, and so on.
The inner preliminaries include Refuge and Bodhicitta (loving-kindness practice), the Mandala Offering, Vajrasattva Purification, and Guru Yoga. Traditionally the student needs to complete 100,000 repetitions of each part of these preliminaries although the master may require more or less as the teacher judges from the student's capacity.
Benefit of the Practice
Although the Nam Chö Ngöndro is very deep and profound, it is clear and easy for all to practice. By accomplishing this practice, one can realize the nature of the mind. With the Nam Chö Ngöndro, we can develop loving-kindness for all beings and devotion, trust, confidence, diligence, and perseverance in our spiritual path.
The Ngondro Retreat is suitable for all levels: newcomers, intermediate or advanced students.
German Palyul Centre
German Palyul Centre was established by Khen Rinpoche Pema Choephel under the guidance of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche. It took place in Saarbrücken, Trier and presently in Züsch.
The main goal of the centre is to spread the Nectar of Dharma in the European countries and to give possibility to the Western people to study and practice Tibetan Buddhism, especially of the Palyul Tradition.
